Embrace Technology
20/06/2008
Each pair of ReelFit shoes uses nearly two feet of adjustable steel micro-cable and a proven dial system, ensuring the ultimate fit will not loosen during the round. The Boa Lacing System can be found in several high performance footwear categories outside of golf, including the leading ski boots and snowboard footwear. Boa Technology is exclusive to FootJoy in the golf industry. One of the many benefits of the system is ease-of-use; just turn the dial on the back of the shoes to tighten, and pull out the dial for quick release and removal of shoes.

26/05/2008
Jay Haas survived a wild final round at a stingy Oak Hill to hang on and win his second Senior PGA Championship in three years. Haas endured a five-bogey, one-birdie round of 74 to finish the tournament at 7-over 287 and claim the title.
Haas calmly converted a 2-foot par put on No. 18 for his 11th victory on the Champions Tour and second Senior PGA Championship after wining in 2006 at Oak Tree. He also becomes the 13th player to win at least two Senior PGA titles. Haas relied on a full arsenal of FootJoy products this week, including Classic Tour golf shoes, a SciFlex glove and FootJoy Performance Outerwear .
You would be accurate in saying the players “survived” Oak Hill this week. Haas’ 7-over was the highest winning score in relation to par in the 69-year history of Senior PGA, shattering the previous high of 2-over set by Sam Snead in 1970 at PGA National at Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. It also marked the second-highest winning score in Champions Tour history, two short of Arnold Palmer’s 9-over at the 1981 Senior Open at Oakland Hills.

19/05/2008
Ochoa closed with a final round 1-under 71 Sunday to win her third consecutive Sybase Classic and her sixth victory of the season. Ochoa is quickly approaching her win total from last year (8) when she ascended to the #1 world ranking and was named Player of the Year. The victory is Ochoa’s 22nd since April 2006 and the first place check made her the fastest player on the LPGA to reach $12 million in career earnings.
Ochoa was pursued all day by a group of players but managed to maintain her lead despite cool, wet conditions that shortened the tournament to 54 holes. With her lead cut to one on the 18th tee, Ochoa reached the par five in three shots. When her closest pursuer missed her putt to tie, Lorena calmly two-putted to victory.

Clutch Performance
19/05/2008
FootJoy player Ryuji Imada claimed his first PGA TOUR victory Sunday, winning the AT&T Classic with a par on the first playoff hole after his opponent hit his approach in the pond fronting the 18th green. It was a complete turnaround from last year at the same tournament when Imada got into a playoff with Zach Johnson at the TPC Sugarloaf, only to lose when he knocked his second shot into the same pond (43 balls found the pond this week). Imada has been a runner-up three times on the PGA TOUR, including earlier this season at the Buick Invitational and the PODS Championship.
Imada, who wore Classics Dry Premiere during the final round, needed a birdie on the 72nd hole in regulation just to get in the playoff. Trailing by a stroke, he was right of the green on his second shot with a 3-wood, but chipped up to 4 feet and made the putt for a 5-under 67. Imada averaged 27.25 putts per round this week, the best among all the players.
A native of Japan, Imada had plenty of fans cheering him on at TPC Sugarloaf; he attended the nearby University of Georgia. As he walked off the green after his winning putt, a few fans woofed it up. He’s certain to receive another warm welcome when he returns to the area about a year from now…not only to defend his first Tour victory but when he walks to the first tee at Augusta National for the first time.
“I know I get invited to the Masters now,” he said, breaking into a big smile. “I always dreamed of playing there since I was a kid. I can’t wait to see what it’s like.”

FootJoy is the #1 glove for golfers at all levels of competitive golf, including the PGA Tour.
SciFlex is a popular choice featuring the latest in performance technology. James Kingston wore the SciFlex glove during his maiden victory at the European Tour's South African Airways Open and Ian Poulter also donned the SciFlex on his way to victory at the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan.
Regardless of the forecast, you can always see J.B. Holmes sporting a RainGrip glove, something he's done since his days at the University of Kentucky for it's unsurpassed moisture-wicking technology. Holmes captured this year's FBR Open in a playoff over the #2 ranked player in the World Golf Rankings, the second time he's won the FBR in the last three years.
High-pressure tournament or friendly weekend round with friends, rain or shine....no matter what conditions you face this Spring, you can be confident the FootJoy glove you trust has already been tested by the world's best players under some of the most trying conditions.

Scott Wins In Playoff Fashion
28/04/2008
Adam Scott made a clutch 9-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to force a playoff, then drained a 48-footer playing it again on the third playoff hole to win the EDS Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday. Playing the par four 18th hole for the third time in less than an hour, the second time in the playoff, Scott hit his tee shot into a fairway bunker to the right. He got his approach to the front of the green, then rolled the putt over two ridges and into the cup for his sixth career PGA Tour victory. Scott wore the DryJoys Traditional with the stability PODS™ outsole during the dramatic final round.
Playing conditions at the redesigned TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas, which reopened for play just this week, changed drastically again after rain overnight combined with blustery conditions Sunday. It was an unseasonable cool day with temperatures barely reaching 60 degrees, with wind gusting to 30 mph making it feel even cooler. The winning score of 7-under 273 was the highest since the EDS Byron Nelson Championship moved to the Las Colinas venue in 1983.
It was the 16th playoff at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship since 1968, more than any other tournament on the PGA TOUR.

Boo Weekley successfully defended his Verizon Heritage title and captured his second career PGA Tour event at Harbour Town Golf Links on Sunday. Weekley, who wore a StaSof glove and ReelFit golf shoes during the final round and MyJoys with a new camo leather print during the early rounds, shot an even-par 71 for a three-shot victory.Among the highlights for Boo…he escaped trouble on the 10th by holing a difficult pitch over a bunker to go up by five shots. He did it again four holes later, slam dunking a 30-footer for birdie from the fringe that if it didn’t hit the cup might have rolled into the water off the edge of the peninsula green.
Weekley’s the first player with consecutive victories in Hilton Head since fellow FootJoy loyalist, and five-time Heritage winner, Davis Love III went back-to-back in 1991 and 1992.

She finally grabbed the lead with a 10-foot birdie putt on No. 8, then followed with two more on the next two holes to grab the lead for good. She will look to tie the LPGA record of five consecutive victories in two weeks at the SemGroup Championship (May 1-4) in Oklahoma.
